What Lies Beyond The Door?by ~Agina

My entry for the contest held by
It's about her characters Loki [link] and Kuroi, which I drew in her lionsheep form [link]

Got inspired by Tchaikovsky's Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy -> [link] ...If you have never heard the song, I don't wanna hear that - I'd feel ashamed by you. X''D

It has started to be a bad habit of mine to take artistic freedoms with everything in everywhere, but you see, after I noticed that all the other entries were the ordinary love picies - nothing wrong in there, I make them too - , I decided that "BAH! I'll do something else, it's ridiculous to just repeat others works!" (In plain speaking *cough* But really, isn't it majestic when I finally did something not-so-romantic? Me, a love maniac, of all those people, did NOT make a happy couple work! ...Breaks my heart... XDDDD). Of course I don't know much about this couple or their story, but that's what makes it easier for me to take my chances. And since I love big grey areas in personalities (I feel quite depressed when seeing villains who are only bad or heros who are only good), I made Loki a villain in this story - or something you don't really know who he really is... Bad or good... Much more interesting. Anyway, into a small (and poor though I like the ending) fanfic we go ->

The forest had been big, so much bigger than Kuroi could have ever imagined. It had been a hard journey over the desert, through the caves of The Icy Mountain and Shrieking Village, but finally, at last, they were here: just one step away from the Moon Reflection Door, that should save her from her curse, and return her into the same wolf being she was in the beginning before meeting the sorceress. But... Something was bothering her mind... Was it the dark forest itself that kept making her feel uneasy with its dozens of small eyes that were observing her silently, as if all the trees and their inhabitants would have been waiting, just getting ready to attack in order to guard the Door? Or was it the kooky grin on Loki's face when he jumped on the arm of a tree, watching from above with his glowing eyes...?
"A-Are you sure about this?" Kuroi whispered, feeling uncomfortable.
"Of course my dear", Loki said softly. "It is the only way of getting the old you back." He paused. The grin changed into a pitying smile. "...Unless you don't want to be a sheep for the rest of your life...?"
"No!" Kuroi shouted and got frightened by her own voice, that echoied in the deep, dead silent forest. "No", she said much quieter as there had appeared more eyes to watch her. "I don't want to stay as a sheep. I... I don't want to be eaten... Not by my pack. Not by..." She stopped. She had almost said Not by you.
There was an akward silence between them. Nothing happened. The forest was as dead and silent as it had been right from the start. Only the wall seemed to move slowly behind the door, as it would have said via its rainy outfit: "When you step in, there's no coming back."
Finally Loki broke the silence.
"Well?" He said. "Will you do it? Just one step and it's all over, you'll be back to your normal self."
"But..." Kuroi tried to find words and didn't raise her eyes to meet Loki's. "I don't know... What's this all to you? You didn't even know me... Why are you helping me? Getting me through all this trouble..."
After hearing this Loki gave his stealthy grin and leaned forward. "I'm doing this for my own reasons. You don't need to know." His eyes seemed to continue the explanation, but lips spoke no words. Kuroi wondered, could it all be her imagination, or did his eyes really say what she thought they said...about her...about feelings towards her...Or was it all just an act? A game to lure her in? But if the door was her only way to get out of this body of not hers...
"So?" Loki said, with a slight blink of impatience in his voice, "Will you go and see what's beyond the door? Or will you stay as you're now, go back and live a life of a sheep?"
The light behind the door got brighter.
"What will you do?"
The carved moon marking started to glow plainly.
"It's your choise."

Don't have to read the Fanfic part, but if you could do the normal AC before commenting, I'd be glad. :>

8D You should draw some finished works too if you like them. :3
They remind me of dogs and those I don't like at all - my uncle's dog bit me when I was little (it was a hot day. I was a bit of afraid of the medium sized creature because it was so unpredictable - in a way mad too because my crazy aunt had decided for cutting its tail shorter so it would be more fashionable - but I was told to change its water so I did. I was just taking my leave when the creature stood up and ran towards me grabbing my both arms by its teeth. Thanks a lot you beast). I'm afraid of dogs. Wolves are just dogs with more fur, but they're also more annoying because of the huge fandom floating around them.

woah that dog sounds crazy o.o
I'm a bit scared of dogs, i always here about them biting off their owners faces and stuff after being a nice dog for ten years
we have a dog and she's crazy, she's scared of everything and runs away and gets really hyper and has weird mood changes, she's never been violent but i can't help thinking maybe one day she'll go mad and bite my hands off or something because she's so weird haha
hmm yeah i don't like the fandom around wolves, i don't like how everyone draws them in the same cartoon style... but i do like wolves that are painted in watercolor and look unique, with long faces haha

i don't like how some people want to BE wolves

Usually it's the same Balto -style or Pearleden's style, even some Wolfrain mixed in. Even though I liked the first movie of Balto, enough is enough. :'D
