Artist's Comments PLEASE TAKE A FULL VIEW! - The download is huge. Prinsessa Ruusunen = Finnish name for The Sleeping Beauty. "Ruusu" means "rose", so Ruusunen is roughly said something as Lady Rose. And "prinsessa" is naturally "a princess". I needed a little Fairy Tale project around these commissions. :3 There are many versions of this tale, but I chose the one where there's no actual "bad fairy godmother". The butterflies resemble all those 13 godmothers - yes, the actual tale has 13 godmothers, not 4 as the Disney version says - and the white/blue one is the one who saved princess' life. ...I'm little embarrazed because the prince looks a lot like one particular vampire character designed by *Tankero, and I just happen to love that guy. .///////////////. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. In here it's just paper white, I've coloured around the places I won't touch. But often I use Tipp-Ex-correction fluid or white watercolor.

Yes, the tale I've read contains usually 13 fairy godmothers and one of them is not invited because the king doesn't have but just 12 golden plate. So the left out fairy isn't bad, she just happened to be the one who didn't get invitation. And because she gets angry of this, she makes the spell to kill the king's daughter. But one of the invited fairies overcomes the death spell with a sleeping spell. So the teaching in the story: never upset people who have more power than you. XDDDD
